PREVENTION
There is not a whole lot we can do to stop trauma from getting re-activated.
It is an automatic reaction to random things that happen in life when we have unresolved trauma.
It most often occurs when we are taken by surprise - caught off-guard by something sudden and unexpected.
Whenever we are around people, the chances of getting activated and/or dysregulated go up.
However, I do know about a few things that can help reduce the chances.
Paying attention to our biochemistry and stress levels can help a lot.
Our biochemistry can be affected by nutrition, how rested we are, and if we have had enough exercise.
