is to reclaim the body by having experiences of discovery, pleasure and connection
and by making the body feel safe.
According to Anthony William (The Medical Medium),
the best way to heal from past trauma is to create positive new experiences
that will crowd out past negative experienes.
He outlines a protocol for reclaiming lost parts of our soul
by doing all of the things we used to love and enjoy doing.
According to Teal Swan, what is needed to heal trauma is to resolve it.
I agree with the first two approaches when it comes to healing from trauma
in general.
However, I think we need a more direct approach like the third one
in those moments when a specific trauma response has been re-activated.
Resolving trauma as it comes up neutralizes our reactions and also has a cummulative healing effect.
