What To Do

WHAT TO DO WHEN TRIGGERED

A. De-Escalate the Trigger
De-escalating the intensity of my triggered reaction first helps me regain some access to my cortex, making it easier to look for and neutralize the past trauma.

B. Neutralize the Anchor
Once triggered, in order to be able to clearly see what is true in the present without the filter of the past, I need to figure out what the past trauma (anchor) is and resolve it (neutralize the emotional charge attached to it).
