Root Balls

ROOT BALLS

Sometimes the same anchor (traumatic experience from the past) keeps coming up for different triggers.

That does not mean that I did not successfully neutralize that anchor when it came up before.

It just means that there is another angle/aspect of the anchor that did not get triggered before.

Some traumatic experiences were fairly one dimensional.
They did not effect me in a bunch of different ways.
When something triggers them and I neutralize the anchor they do not ever come up again.

Other traumatic experiences are multi-faceted and had far-reaching effects on me.

They affected many areas of my life, so it may take many triggering events to bring up all of the different angles/aspects.

This multi-faceted kind of anchor (past trauma) is like a root ball, requiring a lot of digging around (neutralizing from a bunch of different angles over time) before it is finally loosened up enough for the whole thing to come out (be resolved).

That happened with my fear of rejection. After several different triggers led me to neutralize a a bunch of different angles, I was finally able to do one general TAT™ on fear of rejection itself, and it has not come back up since.
